Smuggler’s Cove Tortola is one of the most idyllic places to relax in the British Virgin Islands, and when visitors aren’t soaking up some rays and enjoying the soft, powdery sand, they are often donning snorkeling gear and exploring the underwater depths. The calm bay at Smuggler’s Cove Beach is utterly perfect for snorkeling, and conditions are also good for swimming. This is about as tranquil as a beach destination gets, and the beautiful Caribbean setting only adds to the quality of the overall experience.
Cane Garden Bay
Centrally located on Tortola’s north side, this is probably the busiest beach since its beauty is often compared to Magen’s Bay on St. Thomas.
Long Bay Beach
Long Bay is an incredible three mile long beach on the southeast side of Providenciales. The water at this popular coast is a breathtaking turquoise, with shallow depths leading off for a very great distance off the beach.
Anegada Island
Anegada or the “drowned island” is completely surrounded by shallow reefs, and has become the focal point of underwater diving due to the many historic shipwrecks that litter the island’s underwater depths.
Nanny Cay
Nanny Cay has the feel and all the amenities of a small tropical village, including shopping, dining and lodging options.
Sage Mountain National Park
The highest point in Tortola is accessible via a number of marked trails.
Josiah's Bay
A lovely beach sweeping for half a mile, which provides a great place to swim, snorkel, sunbathe or just relax and watch the pelicans dive for fish.
Rhone National Marine Park
Park that encompasses the wreck of the HMS Rhone, a mail ship that sunk during a hurricane in 1867, and Dead Chest Island, both great dive sites.
